Archiving questions allows you to remove certain questions from your current questionnaire, while still providing you with the ability to restore them at a later date if you wish. Note that this process does not delete the questions or their data; it simply takes them out of the live questionnaire.
Before starting, note that this process can only be performed within iPerceptions Certified Surveys and Custom Surveys, and only for custom questions. As well, if you have any skip logic programmed in your survey, ensure there is none currently tied to the question(s) you are archiving. If so, revise or remove your skip logic accordingly.
For the question(s) you would like to archive, simply click the “Archive” button that is provided at the right of the question on the "Research Setup" page:
This question will no longer appear within the questionnaire. However, you will still be able to access this question by scrolling to the top of the “Research Setup” page and selecting the “Archived Questions” button in the More Options menu:
The “Archived Questions” page will show you all of the questions that you have archived over time. Within this page, you will be able to either "Restore" or "Delete" the archived questions. If you choose to restore your archived question, it will be re-inserted at the bottom of your questionnaire. Note that you can only delete archived questions if no data has ever been collected for them in the past.
