Selecting a Time Range in the "Dashboard" Tool

by Phil A.

UPDATE: December 3 2015

Please note that the “Dashboard” reporting tool is no longer available in the iPerceptions Active Research platform as of December 4 2015.  Please check out this section of our support forum for information on the reporting tools available in the Active Research Platform.

The “Dashboard” tool enables you to gather a snapshot of your close-ended data based on the metric and dimension / group that you select.  You can view your metrics either as an aggregate, or trended over time (e.g. monthly).

By default, the Dashboard tool will show your data for the last month, though you are able to modify the time range that you are analyzing by using the options provided at the top of the tool:

Using this menu, you can analyze your metrics trended over time by using these options (trended monthly, unless otherwise stated):

Last 1 month (default): Trended weekly

Last 3 months

Last 6 months

Last 1 year

As well, you can analyze your metrics as an aggregate by using the following options:

Month-to-Date: View your data starting from the 1st day of the current month up to today

Year-to-Date: View your data starting from January 1st of the current year up to today

If you would like to specify a precise time range that you would like to analyze, you can do so using the “Custom Date” option, which enables you to view your metrics as an aggregate based on the time range that you select.  To use this feature, select your desired range within the “From” and “To” calendar features provided:

After you have made any of your selections using the Time Range feature, click the “Update” button provided, and your changes will be applied to the data provided:
