Analyzing your Data within the “Purpose of Visit” tab of the “Benchmarks” Tool

The “Benchmarks” tool enables you to compare how your website is performing compared to other studies in your industry in terms of your respondents’ Overall Experience, Purpose of Visit, and Task Completion.  Benchmarking capabilities are available starting at the Premium plan.   

When first programming the Purpose of Visit question for your iPerceptions Certified Survey, you are asked to best classify your answers within one of the following categories:

- Account

- Buy

- Learn

- Shop

- Speak

- Support

- Other


The “Purpose of Visit” tab within the Benchmarks tool enables you to compare how your website is performing compared to your industry in terms your respondents’ Task Completion rate, based on their type of Purpose of Visit. 


In the example below, we see that the Task Completion rate for those coming to “Shop” on the AcmeCars website is 53.7%, while a 61.5% Task Completion rate was seen for those coming to “Shop” within the Automotive industry.  




In this example, to determine which specific Purposes of Visit were classified under the “Shop” category, hover over the “?” icon provided to the top-right of the chart:
